I made a promise to myself at the end of last week. That promise is to go to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2017!
After watching some of the highlights on the TV, its looks like I missed a real treat this year. A floral arch to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday, the 300,000 individually crocheted Poppies Tribute at the entrance and The Harrods British Eccentrics Garden, a sculpture which features a performance every 15 minutes to highlight but a few things to feast your eyes upon.
The show may be over for this year, but the spirit of the show lives on in Bloom And Wild’s wildflower bouquet, The Florence.
Inspired by the wild flowers of an English garden, The Florence contains fragrant Stocks, Snapdragons and Astrantia. As someone who would normally purchase Roses, Peonies etc, I’ve found this such a beautifully unusual bouquet and have really enjoyed having the splash of colour around the house.
I started off by trimming down the stems and found this bouquet suited a large jug rather than one of my vases. Personal preference it may be, but I found it suited the “garden grown” feel of the flowers.
In true Bloom And Wild style, they’re lasting ages, well over a week, maybe even two and still going strong. I’ve now started to posy them, something I often do when I’ve had blooms for a while and they’re looking fab spread around the house in different size jugs and vases!
The Florence is still available to order from Bloom And Wild Flower Delivery, as always beautifully wrapped and letterbox delivered. Grab yours while it’s still around and don’t forget there’s 15% off using the code ALITTLECRISP.
