Over the last few weeks we have seen some of the loveliest weather up here in the North East and with wedding and summer party season just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to start thinking about shopping occasion wear for the little ones to strut their stuff in!
While we may not have any summer weddings to attend this year, Emilia has a busy social calendar with a few invites to some summer birthday parties and these occasions will be the perfect excuse for her to show off her beautiful new outfit by our absolute favourites JoJo Maman Bébé .
It’s no secret that this brand has been our go to for pretty much everything for Emilia from clothing, to weaning, to sleeping. All you have to do is look at my Instagram to see that about three quarters of her wardrobe is from here. Why do we love it so much? Emilia is a spirited two year old who loves bold colour. It really suits her and I just adore the collections JoJo Maman Bebe bring out each season. Even her winter wear was lovely and bright and we always receive such nice comments on her outfits. How well their clothes last is phenomenal, each purchase lasting until they no longer fit, but retaining the look of a newly bought item! Now, Mamas, we all know that doesn’t happen very often, especially for mud loving children like Emilia!
With this seasons show stopping Occasion Wear, JoJo Maman Bébé have done it again. You’ll find a stunning range of colourful dresses, shoes and accessories (there’s plenty for boys too, so many cute little jackets, chinos and shoes) to mix and match so your little one will be sure to party in style.
When JoJo Maman Bébé gave us the choice of a beautiful outfit from this range, I was immediately drawn to the Girls’ Pink Rose Party Dress which is a really sweet floral style staple. The box pleats and netting beneath give the dress a great shape (not too flouncy and really contemporary, which is great for not-so-girly-girls like Emilia) and the waistband and little bow detail at the front finishes the dress off perfectly. This dress is 100% cotton and machine washable at 40 degrees.
To compliment the dress we chose the Pretty Leather Sandals in White. Emilia had a very similar pair from here last summer and wore them all the time. So I knew we were onto a winner with these versatile sandals. I love the pretty detail in the pattern of the shoe and the sole has cushioning so I know Emilia will be comfortable in them for a day of running around and partying! She finds them easy to put on with the velcro fastening also.
To finish off her party look we went for the 3-pack Frilly Socks as they work so well with this outfit and many others she has. We’ve also purchased these before when Emilia was smaller as they have anti slip soles, perfect for little ones who are getting to grips (excuse the pun) with walking.
To show off this beautiful outfit we headed off to Bowes Museum at Barnard Castle where as usual Emilia was the star of the show! This beautiful building and grounds provided us with a beautiful backdrop for me to capture the sweetest moments of my girl exploring flower beds, the building and a nature walk, we’d highly recommend a visit!
Emilia loved swishing about in her outfit so much she keeps asking me when we’re going ‘somewhere beautiful’ so she can wear it again! For someone who’s usually happiest in jeans and wellies (JoJo of course!), that’s a real testament to how adorable but also how wearable this range really is!
