So as you probably already know, a few weeks ago I received a very exciting email! In this email was a Save The Date for The White Company ‘Christmas In July’ preview, so of course I responded immediately. To say I was excited was an understatement, especially as it would be my first ever blogger/press event. It was also to be my first time in London away from my girl. Emilia happily stayed with Grandma and I jumped on the train first thing on a sunny July morning.
On arrival at the venue I stepped from a 24 degree sunny London day into what can only be described as a magical winter wonderland. Firstly, I was greeted with coffee (much needed after the journey) and canapés before heading into the main room filled with Christmas displays.
As I wandered round in awe, I came across display after display of beautiful Christmas gift ideas, thoughtfully categorised into who they were designed for (‘The Spa Lover’ ‘Baby’s First Christmas’ for example), thus making gift giving so simple, even for the hardest to buy for!
Below I’ve created my own not-so-little wish list based on these categories.
For the Interiors Addict
For those who love to receive presents for the home (I know I do, especially having just moved house) I found beautifully luxurious gifts, ranging from the bed linen we all know and love from The White Company to oven to table wear and picture frames to capture those festive moments.
The scent was one of the first things I noticed on arrival at the venue. I remember at the time wishing that Instagram stories had ‘smellyvision’ so I could share the fragrance experience with you all!
Candles from The White Company are among the best, they burn for hours, the quality of the scents are stunning and the way they burn (outwards then down, I used to work for a leading candle brand) means the whole candle is used up rather than just the middle. Here at the Christmas event there were candles lit throughout, bringing with them a beautiful festive glow and wonderfully wintry scents such as mulled wine and pine (their Winter candle was also amazing!).
For the Fashionable
The winter fashion was just amazing. I found myself happily lost in a grotto of warm winter coats, jumpers with sparkle, detailed cuffs, not to mention the beautiful scarves and accessories. I found myself daydreaming of cold, crisp days being wrapped up warm in the most stunning muted colour palette that only The White Company provide.
There were accessories to take these items from day to evening and Christmas parties were completely catered for with elegant black outfits, stunning clutches, sparkling jewellery and stylish shoes.
For the Little Ones
From fresh pyjamas (a tradition of ours), gorgeous bed linen and traditional Christmas story books, The White Company have everything your little one(s) need for a magical Christmas Eve. Displayed in a beautiful grotto setting, The Little White Company had me so excited for this years festivities! Emilia will be so on board with Christmas this year and I couldn’t help but imagine her all Santa ready.
There were beautiful outfits perfect for the big day itself, from dresses to Christmas jumpers and trousers. I found myself cooing over the baby gifts too, it seems like Emilia’s first Christmas was forever ago, so it was really sweet to reminisce and swoon over the cute booties, baby onesies, cuddle blankets and super sweet toys.
For the Man in Your Life
From past experience I can absolutely vouch that a present from The White Company will be a winner for the man in your life. So true is this, Rich now just states year on year that he’d like his Christmas presents to be from here. This in itself makes life a whole lot easier when the person who’s the hardest to buy for suddenly becomes the easiest.
This years offerings are equally as great for the guys, even better than previous years. I just know Rich will love the pyjamas, hats, scarves and accessories from this years collection and as an Aspen fragrance fan, the men’s gift box will be perfect for him. In fact the only concern I have is that if he reads this he’ll know what all of his Christmas gifts are!
All Wrapped Up
Each year I buy most of my gift wrap from The White Company. I just love it as it makes me feel so Christmassy and let’s face it, wrapping is so much less of a chore with gorgeous gift wrap and ribbon. I thought the selection was stunning and this year I can’t wait to also buy the range for Emilia’s gifts too!
Festive Decor and the Christmas Table
Each year I add to our Christmas decor, be it a few new baubles, some festive lights or a new stocking. Therefore one of the things I was most excited to see was the room adorned in beautiful, sparkling decorations. I wasn’t disappointed. From the iconic ‘Love’ decorations which we already have, to delicate glass baubles and festoon lights, I can’t wait to add to our collection!
We absolutely need the cute little ‘house’ baubles and I’m excited to do a copycat of the above tree this year, a tier on tier of decorations on the tree, so very different from my usual sporadic placement.
One of the areas I was in complete awe of and probably spent the most time at was the Christmas Day table. Admittedly, it’s usually the last on my list of pretty Christmas things, but this year I’m feeling totally inspired to make a whole lot more of our table. The centrepiece garland is on my list along with the tea light holders and place names.
On My List
Lastly, you’ll find my picks. My absolute favourite pieces from the event and if any family or friends are reading this, feel very free to gift me these!
Pom Pom ballet style slippers. I have no words… But then I don’t think we need words, let’s all just take a moment to swoon over these. Aaaand breathe…
Who doesn’t love the Seychelles range?! It’s one of the most beautiful scent ranges The White Company stock and it’s right there at the top of my list for festive pampering.
I love beauty products. I even forged a career out of this passion before Emilia came along, so naturally I’m so very excited to indulge in the SPA range, a product range I’m yet to try. Cue some serious pampering over the winter time if Santa brings me these… Because let’s be honest, Mama’s don’t make it to the Spa all that often so why not turn your bathroom into a Spa!
Look at these! I mean, look at them! If it were socially acceptable I’d live in my pyjamas day in, day out. So naturally this stunningly starry PJ set made it onto my wish list. I cannot wait to hibernate in these over the winter. I may even have to treat myself before Santa comes!
I had to include this hat, scarf and gloves set to my list. In fact I’m wishing the months away now just so I can wrap up warm in these sumptuous fabrics and layers. Hurry up Winter!
I just had to save the best ’til last… This my friends, is my absolute favourite item out of everything I saw at the event. Christmas jumpers just got elegant! As I mentioned above, I just love the ‘love’ decorations from The White Company (I’m still kicking myself for not buying the huge ‘love’ sign they did a few years back!) so I’ll be rushing out to get this as soon as it comes out. Hold me back!
Jetsetters… Do you fly with British Airways? As we do, I’m so excited that The White Company will be partnering with BA in the Clubworld (business class) section of their flights. Luckily Rich gets to enjoy this experience when he flies BA (I have just the once and boy it was amazing!), so on his next flight he’ll be treated to luxurious bedding, pillows, throws and The White Company cosmetic products. I may just have to tag along to his next conference!
I really hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it! Right now I couldn’t feel more Christmassy if I tried so I hope to have injected some festive spirit into your summer holiday time…
With thanks to The White Company for the invite to this event. I had such a wonderful day.
