A few weekends back we discovered The Gardens at Wynyard Hall. Nestled in the grounds of Wynyard Hall, a beautiful country hotel described as the North East’s most loved destination, we found the flower gardens, cafe and farm shop.
It was absolutely stunning. For a small fee you can enter the huge walled garden, with large fountains and many varieties of blooms.
It was set out almost maze like, so Emilia had the time of her life chasing us around and playing hide and seek!
The weather was a little overcast so we took along cardigans and boots just in case. I must tell you about these boots. Made from natural rubber by iconic boot brand Le Chameau, the Women’s Giverny Jersey Lined Boot is quite possibly the most comfortable outdoor boot I’ve ever come across!
I absolutely love the ‘Cherry’ colour, said to be the colour of Autumn 2017 (for once I am in fashion!), I’ve worn them a few times now with the Great British summer now turning into autumn weather, they go with the neutral greys/beiges that I love to wear in my clothes and just add a subtle hint of colour.
Le Chameau have been handcrafting boots since 1920, so you can be reassured the fit is fantastic, comfort is up there at the top, they’re light, durable and have the loveliest tartan jersey lining. Perfect for everyday wear!
These boots will certainly be getting put through their paces this autumn and after wearing all day there was no fatigue in my soles, they still felt as lightweight and comfortable as when I first put them on! As a very outdoorsy family, we need footwear that’s made to last and I know already that hers absolutely fit the bill, so I’ll add photos to this post as we go through the autumn months.
These boots were gifted to me in collaboration with Le Chameau for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions are of course, as always, my own.
