In January we decided as Emilia is loving her time at pre school so much, it’d be a great time to up her to an extra day! As much as I miss her I love seeing her little face as she goes through the garden gate with Daddy on her way to school.
She still looks so little and cute, but at the same time so grown up as she pootles along wearing her backpack and uniform. Daddy drops her off in the mornings on his way to work and I pick her up after every session, something I love as I get all the gossip of the day: who’s behaved themselves, who’s been naughty, who said what, she’s a real little tell tale!
My birthday comes at an awkward time, before January pay day and usually after blue Monday, so everyones had enough basically! The weather usually scuppers any plans for friends and family to visit and this year was no exception, haha… Emilia was at school, Rich was at work and so I got to spend the day blissfully enjoying my own company! You know those moments, a long bath to myself, a trip to the coffee shop to drink hot coffee without my little sidekick, no chores, it was great!
Then after pre school we got to blow out the candles on my cake, or rather, Emilia did! Thirty Six though, when did that happen?!
January saw weeks twenty to twenty five of my pregnancy. So far the second trimester has been much kinder to me than the first! The Hyperemesis lessened around seventeen weeks and so I was finally able to leave the house, which was great! Since then I’ve been taking it easy, but venturing out with Emilia to nearby places, to get out and get some much needed fresh air. Being bed bound for so long has really made me see what we take for granted on a daily basis, but also to slow down and listen to my body when I need to.
Everything is going really well in the pregnancy which is great as I don’t have any of the worries I had with my pregnancy with Emilia. Also, I’ve realised that running around after a three year old is so tasking that I don’t have the same time to sit, dwell and worry so much. I’ve started to feel those first kicks, and nothing fits anymore. My favourite stores so far for maternity wear have been Seraphine and JoJo Maman Bebe for good quality, stylish and well fitting basics to see me through the winter months.
Things we’re loving
January has seen me feel well enough to start picking up a little blog work once again. The opportunity to work with amazing brands is always something I love and I’m truly grateful for. I love writing about products, brands and people I come across, I really take my time to make sure I’m working with people who are relatable to you all and I’m lucky to receive such lovely feedback on any collaboration posts I write.
I wrote a very belated post for our favourites JoJo Maman Bebe, which is fitting to mention as I write this it’s currently -3 out there! In the post you’ll find details of their cold weather outerwear range, all designed to mix and match together, click the link HERE.
Lastly, I’d like to thank you for all your support on here during my poorly phase, all the lovely messages and comments on Instagram meant the world and I read every single one of them. There’s so much support on this network it’s amazing.
