This post is written in collaboration with JoJo Maman Bèbè…
Back in December we had a lovely little weekend break away. I had just began to feel better after pregnancy illness and a night or two away was exactly what our family needed…
We chose to stay in a luxury holiday lodge at Keswick Reach in the Lake District (not far from Keswick itself but very secluded). Onsite there was a lovely restaurant and family pub, a mini shop selling amenities and things that families forget to take away with them!
As I wasn’t yet at my full best we spent our time in the lodge playing boardgames, with Emilia playing Connect4 to her own rules! The aim was to merely fill the ‘board’ with as many of the coins as possible in as little time as possible. When we did venture out we headed to a beautiful lake on the way to Keswick, completely peaceful and serene with that cloudy haze that’s present year round in the Lake District. Emilia loved having so much time outdoors as we’d spent a lot of time cooped up in the house over the few months prior so it was lovely to just breathe in fresh alpine air and play hide and seek and skimming stones!
A little while ago, prior to I the throes of my illness, JoJo Maman Bèbè had gotten in touch to collaborate on a post for their new winter outerwear ranges. Being a longstanding JoJo fan, well since Emilia was born obviously, and buying so many of theirr clothes, toys, weaning products and accessories I was so happy to have another opportunity to work with them! The post I wrote for them in summer is here if you fancy a read…
As you all know I was knocked out for three to four months and so this post is a little late in the making…
JoJo Maman Bèbè kindly gifted us the following…
Polarfleece Pixie Hat in Bold Floral Print
Polarfleece Cosy Neck in Orchid
Polarfleece Wellie Liners in Winter Bloom
Children’s Wellies in Fuchsia
Pack-Away Waterproof Dungarees in Navy
Waterproof Fleece Lined Pull-Ups in Navy
Actually we were gifted the Winter version of this beautiful hoodie so I’ve linked this one from the Spring collection.
Emilia has been wearing these items literally all season, the polar fleece lining in the clothes is so warm and cosy and so easy to wear every day. As with all of the JoJo Maman Bèbè range, the clothes and accessories are durable, wash well, maintain their colour and don’t bobble in the slightest. The coat is waterproof and the waterproof dungarees are pack-away which means they fold back into themselves to make a little bag. I must give extra mention to the cosy neck, which is a scarf like item, a snood maybe? It fits comfortably over Emilia’s head, looks great and wears just like a scarf, only Emilia would never keep an actual scarf on so this is perfect!
Emilia has only ever worn JoJo wellies, so these were an obvious choice for us. Having been through most of the colours we opted for the purple and pink style, as they are both Emilia’s favourite colours. What I love about the ranges JoJo do is that they’re all designed to coordinate and mix and match together. So the navy in the trousers goes really well with the pink and purple without it all being ‘too pink’ (which if Emilia were choosing she’d be in pink from top to toe!).
We had such a wonderful time on our mini break and came home relaxed and ready for a chilled out Christmas. Which is exactly what we had.
These items were very kindly gifted by JoJo Maman Bebe. All thoughts and opinion are my own.
